Flowers & Love Quotes for Valentine's Day

"Mrs. Dalloway said she would buy the flowers herself."
This is the first line in Virginia Woolf's classic novel Mrs. Dalloway. I think of it sometimes when I am going to go buy flowers for myself. Whether you buy the flowers yourself, or someone else gets them, I thought that for Valentine's Day I would feature pictures of flowers and quotes about love.

Till then my windows ache.”

-W. Somerset Maugham

I started creating crochet flowers. If I had more time I would make more. I would love to make crocheted potted plants.
“Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead.”
-Oscar Wilde

“We’re born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we’re not alone.”

“I have learned not to worry about love; but to honor its coming with all my heart.”
-Alice Walker

Sometimes I like to play with the colors on the computer to get flowers I like the look of better than the originals.
‘If music be the food of love, play on’
-Shakespeare
(Twelfth Night – Act 1, Scene 1)
